• White binding with cream pickup rings???

I have a guitar with white binding. I figured it would be cream, but when it showed up, it's actually white. I was going to put cream pickup rings, and zebra pickups in it, but I'm thinking the cream and white might not go well together. Anyone have any thoughts?

Do not try this at home LOL!

On the LP forum, a guy recommends brown Kiwi Shoe polish. Light coat, wipe off, check for desired effect. Repeat as necessary. (Ron's going to kill me for spelling LOL!)

Give it twenty years; the white will turn cream anyway.

is it the SX guitar? i'd have to see a pic, but if the creme rings look bad, go with black....or something that matches the hardware...

Dimarzio makes zebra pickups in both black/cream and black/white. Go with the latter & problem solved.

No-one will notice from a distance, anyway.

P.S.- By "white" binding, do you actually mean ivoroid? Real white binding is not too common - ivoroid and cream are. If ivoroid, don't worry about black/cream zebras. Ivoroid binding is really a "dirty" off-white, not pure white. So it goes well with cream.

Sully, yes it's the SX. The binding is bright white. I think just to be safe, I'll keep the black pickup rings, and just put black Seymour Duncans in it. Hey Sully, can you guess what's going in the bridge?

White and creme go nicely together.

No Joe, he's right. The creme pups or rings will clash with a white binding big time. It's a little different on a solid white guitar.
