• buzzing high up on the neck

i got some buzzing high up on the neck of my 89 USA rhoads. I get the notion that truss rod adjustments dont really affect anything from the 12-14th fret and up. the action isnt supremely low either, the only thing i can think of is to raise the bridge, but i dont want my action to get ridiculously high!

Buzzing higher frets (12 and up)could be too much bow in neck. Tighten Truss rod 1/4 turn leave for a couple hours and check again. buzzing frets 1-5 not enough bowing in neck.

    Or could be something else?

I adjust my truss rods so there is a little relief around the 7, 8th fret, then pick a little harder than normal. If it buzzes more at lower 1-5 frets loosen truss rod. more at 12 - 15 tighten until i get it even as possible. If it buzzes every where raise bridge. but I'm not a professional guitar tech!

Hey, I originally posted that link. Then the board got changed and Sully took credit for it. Damn him!
