  • Duncan SSL-1 or SSL-2 for Jackson/Charvel

    sorry for the stupid question but wich one would be better for Jackson or Charvel guitar, SSL-1 wich is staggered or SSL-2 wich is flat?

    anyone?

    jackson neck is pretty flat put not 100% flat...
    so wich one would sound more balanced, staggered or flat pickup?

      i would go with the flat one. As far as I know the staggered are more designed for 7.5" radius fender necks, and Jacksons are certainly way flatter than that.
      Basically my reasoning is, 'If Jackson necks take the staggered, what the hell kinda guitar would use flats??'

        Flat. john-boro is right. The staggered were designed for Fender necks which have much more of a curve to them. J/C necks are fairly flat due to the larger radius. But in the end, you probabaly wouldn't notice much of a tonal difference at all.
