  • Hi E goes sharp

I have this Charvel 375 that I've never gotten along with very well. Things are getting better, though, and my last problem is that when I use the tremolo bar, the high E goes sharp. What would a smart tech do?

Switch the locking clamps around at the nut. They are grooved. Either that or your trem posts are worn out. I am going with the locking clamps.

I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

Try some lube on your trem posts and on the front of the knife edges.
Preferably something teflon-based (PTFE) or graphite.
Both can be found in small tubes at any auto parts store for less than 2 bucks.

-Apply with the stick of a Q-tip to the notches in the post and the frontal edges of the knife edges.
-Pre-fit, then wipe away any excess.
        -Re-assemble trem.

I agree, locking clamps at the nut.

Yeah, if it were the posts, I'd think they ALL would go sharp, and not just one.
