  • Floyd Rose Nut Widths - Replace Kahler nut?

I did a search here but nothing came up - if this info is here I apologize for asking again.
I can't find any info on R3 nut dimensions - is there such a thing?
Also, I see (all?) Floyd nut radii are 10". Is this truly compatible with guitars with flatter boards (12", 16", etc.)?
I'm working on a project neck that currently has a Kahler locking nut (NOT the typical behind-the-regular-nut type). It mounts to the top, and not through the back - I'd like to replace it with a Floyd or Schaller nut but I'm not sure if the mounting screw holes are the same and will line up. Anyone do this before that can shed some light on this?

IMO I would just leave the Kahler nut on there and use a OFR.Sometimes the floyd nuts differ in height and you may have to file down the nut shelf so save yourself some work and keep the original nut.
    Really? well screw Mark Twain.
