• Floyd with mahogony neck

Is there any problems with putting a floyd on a guitar with a mahogony neck. Bolt on neck, or set in mahogony body. Just wondering if there would be a strength issue with crazy wammying, or if the neck would be to flexible. Thanks

Not at all. My NASL is mahogany all over and Floyded and there's no problem.

yeah i just saw a warrior on ebay, said it was a mahogony neck, had a floyd type bridge. I guess the strength comes from the truss rod. i was thinking of an Ibanez Iceman IC400 or a Warmoth parts guitar. No doubt though the mohagony neck on my Gibson Explorer is more flexible than my maple necks.
