• Input jacks (2 conn vs 3 conn)

About to wire some old factory electronics in to my '91 Archtop Pro.

I believe the original was a 3 connector, whereas I have only 2 now. But for sake of the guitar cable, it is only 2, so whats the point of 3? I just never knew why and am wondering now if I should go get a 3 connector or just use my 2.

On the 3 conector jacks, the 3rd connector was either used as an on/off switch for active electronics, or to run to guitar in stereo.

Well the electronics are active so I guess I need a 3 connector to prevent the battery from draining when unplugged?

Didn't think about that before. Have to re-analyze my schematic so I can see the circuit from that perspective.
