• pulling a pickup out of a guitar

When pulling a pickup out, is there anything I need to be careful of in particular, or can I just find the wires and yank them?
Got another guitar on the way, and I want to move pickups around...

Um...no, you don't want to be "yanking wires"!

If you don't have a soldering iron or gun, good solder, and some expirence, have a pro do it for you. You can probably learn how, but not on your good guitars.

Thanks, Chuck
I have a soldering iron but it's at my mom's house, and I never actually ended up using it. I guess I'll just wait a week or so until my next guitar gets here, then take my guitars to the shop down the street and ask him to swap 'em for me.

The guitar I'm pulling the pickup *out of* is out of commission and won't be getting a pickup in that slot, but I'll still just let the tech do it I think.
