• Gibson PAF reissue pickups.

What do you guys think of those pups, what's their usual price?
I've played with a couple of LPs with PAF reissues, the sound was outstanding.

Outstanding is a great description. They sound great overdriven and great clean.

Hmmm - which re-issue pickups?

Tim Shaws
57 Classics
57 Classic Plus
Burst Buckers (1, 2 or 3)
Burst Bucker Pros (same as 1 & 2 above but with Alnico V magnets)

My favorite are BB 1&2 in my R0.

I assumed he was talking about 57 classics.

57 Classics haven't been used in Historic (in general) since 2001. In 2002, they started rolling out BB2&3, but the switched to BB1&2 which are what current Historic LP's come with.

LP Standards have had BB Pros since 2002. Before that, the 490R/498T combo.

I've got a set of BB Pros for sale. They sounded really good, but I prefer my EMGs.
Here's the specs of Gibson pups on their site.

I think those were 57's, they weren't as good as the early 60's original PAF's I played once (I'll never gonna spend 1,5k for pickups) but they were really amazing.
