Is it possible to put a D-Tuna on a recessed Floyd?

Yeah, but the only reason to use a Dtuna is with a trem that is either blocked or can only go down in pitch. A floating trem won't work - you'll never be able to keep the guitar in tune with a D tuna then. You'll have to look at the guitar in question and see how low the floyd sets in the recess... if it sets too low, then the d-tuna will hit the body of the guitar. You may also be able to set it where the trem is forward slightly so it clears the edge of the cutout.

Objection: the D-tuna will work perfectly on a floating floyd if a Trem-setter is installed to counteract the tension change. DOne this a few times, never had a complaint. Hitting the rout is another problem, though, there you´ll have to modify the body [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]
