• What model Jackson is this ? (new pic links)

Can anyone tell me what model Jackson this is ? I recently purchased this for an incredibly low price...

24 fret, dot inlay, rosewood fretboard, looks to be a maple neck, HSH pickup config, on the single coil is the Jackson name, Licensed Floyd Rose trem, 5 way selector switch, volume knob... on the headstock is the Jackson name, and the word "Professional", the Jackson name is also on the back of the tuners...

here links to some pics:

That seems to be a Jackson Dinky SP, if i remember well, those were produced around 1992 - 93, and the body was baswood.

Hope it helps. I'm not 100% sure though...

mmm. On second thought, the Dinky SP had only 22 frets, so that leaves me with the Fusion SX as a solid candidate.

I'd say Fusion SX, 90% of certainty.

Cheers.

I would have guessed it was some kind of Dinky, but measure the scale length to tell. 25.5" is a Dinky and 24.75" is a Fusion.
I looked at one pic last night, but now it seems they say you've violated their terms of service and pulled it.

sorry didnt notice they took the pics down...
just edited my above message with new links to the pics. By the way, the scale length is 25.5", so its not a fusion.

That, sir, is a Dinky SP. And I'd be happy to take it off your hands.

Nice guitar. Congrats

I thought the same, but what about the 24 frets?

yea, you're right kuerbo. I get confused with the different Dinkies - some have 24 frets, some only 22. It looks like a Fusion SX, as you said earlier - the pickups are spaced right, and everything else matches - but if it's not 24 3/4"...

mstraughen, how are you measuring the scale?

scale length, measured from centre of the nut to 12th fret (the actual fret wire) then doubled that number, turned out to be exactly 25.5"

thanks for the help guys i forgot to mention that its a bolt-on.. all Fusions I've seen have been neck-thru, i think ? but the scale length is right for a Dinky...
