• shout out to thoraby the pirate!

i was changing the strings on this guitar and noticed that the TOM/stoptail posts were wobbly in their bushings. i remembered his tip to wrap them in teflon tape and what a difference that made! it's also added a little bit of sustain as well; i noticed that it would die out on bent notes on the high E at the 22nd fret, and it doesn't happen anymore.

so anyway, thanks for the tip!

I will have to try this with my floyds. The super-loose fit of the posts has been annoying me as of late.

            Interesting.

On a similar note, I had asked in another thread (which I seem to have misplaced ) if anyone knew of any suitable replacement inserts and bolts (i.e. not necessarily guitar-specific) that had a finer threading or a tighter fit than standard guitar setups.
