• What trems fit which trems...

JT580LP will be retrofitted by an OFR pro (recessed version)
JT6 will be retrofitted by an OFR (but you can only dive 99%)
Kahler Spyder's post spacing is similar to that of an OFR but the posts are different and the inserts/posts are not compatible.
The Kahler Steeler is a direct OFR replacement.
The Kahler Killer needs different pole spacings.
The Kahler traditional (present in 1986 Charvel model series) will be retrofitted by nothing I think, but a certain Wilkinson trem...

Ok people, if you have any others, or you know how to spell retrofitted better than me, suggest away I may have done some mistakes too so don't fear telling me. Hopefully when this is complete we'll get it sticky. Those questions come up a lot.

Well I saw that and it's great but I personally thought we could just add a smaller sum up.

What's a Killer? Is that the one that's similar to the Spyder?

Killer is the 2700 series. It's infinitely adjustable and made out of steel. I have one and it's "killer" LOL!

From the info I gathered the jt580 and the OFR pro are NOT interchangeable. However, a OFR will drop right into a a JT580's rout.

Huh? I've read plenty of threads here where people have replaced the JT580LP with an OFR with only minor or no adjustments. I know for sure the Schaller is a direct drop in replacement (although it doesn't fill the rear of the route). And the post spacing on the Schaller appears to be the same as the OFR (75mm).

EDIT: Sorry bro, I read too quickly and didn't see that you said OFR Pro. I will not contradict that statement, as I have zero experience with the OFR Pro.

Anyway, in regards to the original post - as far as I know, you should be able to retrofit a JT-6 and a JT580LP with an ordinary OFR, or Schaller FR. I know for a fact a Schaller drops right in, because I have done it. The OFR would fill the route better though (for a better look).

The kahler "killer" or 2700 is a drop in replacement for a kahler fulcrum "traditional" trem.. I just tried it on my model 3 body. No problemo!

Aren't the JT580 and the JT580LP different trems? I.e corresponding respectively to a Floyd and a Floyd Rose pro?

Yes - Floyd II and Floyd Pro.

I said Floyd Rose PRO! But apparently they don't either? Isn't the pro the low profile version of the Floyd, after which the 580LP is made?
