• Anyone ever do this?

I was thinking of putting a 1-3/4 " floyd nut on my SL2H, that originally came with a 1- 11/16" .
I wanted to try a smidge wider string spacing on the guitar. I was just wondering if anyone had ever tried this , or if anyone ever heard of it being done.
thanks in advance for any and all replies.

seems like you might have trouble with strings coming off the edge of the board. but i cant say for sure as i personally havent tried it.

You do know that there are 2 different 1 11/16" nut available - with different string spacing?

I have put different nuts on different necks before. I don't like 1-11/16th so normally use an R2 regardless of the neck I use, if that makes any sense to you or not

THANKS,
I did not know that there were different string spacings for the 1=11/16 nut. that may make things a lot easier.
