  • bridge retrofit question

Does anyone know of a locking trem that will retrofit into an existing two post trem guitar? I don't mind if some extra routing needs to be done, I just don't want to plug holes and all that.

Or, as an alternative - does anyone know where I can get a non-locking nut to retrofit into an existing floyd nut?

Is it for a Strat? If so try to find one of These. They pop up on the bay from time to time and are pretty reasonable as I recall.

Found one on ebay, but it's missing the string blocks and screws. http://cgi.ebay.com/FENDER-FLOYD-ROSE-MI...1QQcmdZViewItem

Guitar parts resource has them new for $134.79

They used to call that a "Fender / Floyd Rose locking vintage tremolo" or something like that. I have one on a Strat, they work well.

                  Re: bridge retrofit question

i looked at those fender bridges, the problem with those is that they don't have fine tuners so I'm in a tuning nightmare.

the guitar in question is a tad retarded - it has a locking nut with a non-locking 2-post trem.
