• KV-1 Truss Rod Wrench size

What size should I buy? I tried the 5/32" and it is slightly smaller.

I just ordered some wrenches from allparts. I'm sick of not having the right sized tools. I got a 7mm, 1/4, and 8mm. I already have a 5/16 from my Gibsons.

Go to Sears and get a 12 point 7mm closed end wrench.

Actually that's not a bad idea. With 12 points you can make small changes. I doubt we need to turn our truss rods too far. I just don't like getting too close to the head of the guitar with the wrench. My DK-1 head is kind of banged up from someone not using the right tool. It's all covered under the truss rod cover, but it still looks a little nasty and not very professional.

don some truss rod wrenchs dont fit jacksons. i got some from stewmac they fit my jackson neckthrus, but on my bolton they are not thin enough to fit between the nut & the back of the route. ive got a thin 1/4" nut driver that fits it perfectly.
