Anyone know of any cheap drop in replacements for epiphone les paul standard tuners?

Try the Grover locking tuners. I installed them on my Epi LPC when I changed all the hardware to black and they work great and lined right up to the existing screw holes. Did your Epi Standard come with Grovers already on it? If so, even though they're Grovers, it's my understanding that their quality is substandard.

no, they are epiphone tuners cos they have the epiphone "e" on them, i looked at grover but i think they're slightly different placing of the screw holes.
