  • Pot values for model 1a + switching idea H/S

I'm getting a model 1a and since it's a strat, I assume the pot values are all 250k, with a .022 capacitor for the tone control? I'm going to install a humbucker in the bridge position, would I be better off with 3 500k pots (volume neck/volume bridge/tone instead of volume/tone/tone)?
Also I'm planning on wiring it this way:
    1: bridge full on
    2: bridge split
    3: both together, parralel
4: Single coil bridge/single coil neck
    5: neck full on
I would probably need a megaswitch for that?

If you go with the HS-2, upgrade the pots to CTS 500k's.
The stock .022 cap should be fine, or you could go with an .033 cap, either way should be good.
Unless you are going to use mini-toggles, yea, you're gonna need a real serious switch.

I'm probably going for an HS2 in the neck later on, but right now it'd be a Jackson J200 with a humbucker in the bridge.
I'll probably upgrade the volume pot for the bridge pickup only for now.
Taking off a capacitor off the tone control would make it a volume control right? So if I unsoldered the cap off the neck's tone control, it'd become the neck volume control?

Yep... that would pretty much do it. And of course a slight wiring mod.
