• Duncan Trem-Spaced vs. Regular Spaced observations

File this under the "Never Too old to Learn" catagory:

I have long been telling people that you can use either spacing on a strat-style guitar with no audible differences. And until very recently, that was true. Or so I thought.

My Charvel Strathead Mutt has the wide V-Trem string spacing (2 1/8"), and the outside E strings were WAY outside the poles. No biggie?

Just for giggles the last two pickups I bought were trem-spaced, and ya know what? On this guitar I can hear a difference. The E strings are more present and pronounced, espically the high-E.

So...for whatever that's worth, I hearby proclaim trem-spaced Duncans as Good Things, and highly recommend them for your strat style 'bucker applications.

    Thanks and good night.
