• Bass Amp Question...

Hmm... okay. Put this here 'cuz its a down-low question, even though this is about an amp.
(Admins, move this if it needs to be in the amp section, pretty please?)

I'm intrigued by the Carvin AG100D and wondered if any of y'all have tried it or have it?
You can read about it here: Click Me

I'm a little wary about it being a combo amp... it supports PA and acoustic as well as bass needs. I'm more of a dedicated gear nut. But having the three in one would be pretty cool, I have use for all it can do.
I mainly would use this for home recording purposes and very small venues... like coffee houses.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Re: Bass Amp Question...

I have one. It'll handle bass/pa for VERY small venues, but not much else. Pretty phenomenal for acoustic just about anywhere, though.

Okee dokee... small venue aside, how do you think it performs as a bass amp?

It's not particulary impressive. Fine for practice, and it'd do ok for low volume recording, but I'd look elsewhere for serious applications.

Em:

Look into some of Eden's combos. I have not personally played any, but I have a 4x10 cab from them and it rocks.

Some of my friends have eden amp heads, and they are wonderful.

If I was looking for a combo, that is the first place I'd look.
