  • Korina vs Mahogany

Anyone played a guitar with a Korina body & neck and can compare to a Mahogany guitar? Is there a noticeable difference?

Korina is usually a medium to heavy wood, but as in any wood you might get lighter pieces.

I believe there are two main Korina woods that are utilized most, black and regular (white?).

In comparison to Mahogany, the tone is very close to mahogany, in fact, I bet anyone for a keg that they couldn't hear the difference in a blindfolded test.
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

Tonally, they are extremely simialr. Korina tends to be lighter than mohogany, though.

Korina has a bit more airy sound, mahogany has more honk.
