I found a rear routed strat body I want to buy I just don’t know if it will work or not. It is a non-recess floyd route. From the neck pocket to the post holes it measures 6”, isn’t this kind of short for a 25.5 scale guitar. The neck pocket width is 2.25” so a model series neck would fit but a DK2 would be too wide.

The 6" sounds right for a 25.5 scale length, but the 2.25" width isn't correct for a model series or a DK2. All Jackson or model series Charvel (to my knowledge) are 2 3/16". That includes the DK2.My goal in life is to be the kind of asshole my wife thinks I am. -

I am totally guessing here, but I was under the impression that model necks were 2.25"?
I've never measured one, so...what do I know...

Model series necks are 2 1/4"s. So they would work for you on this body.Comment
