    is there any minimum thickness for the middle section of a 3 piece laminated neck to make a helping difference in structural strength?

        for making a "sandwiched" 3 piece laminated neck, the dimension I use for each laminate is <u>765 x 60 x 20 mm</u>.
        <u>I never use 3 pieces from the same plank</u> since even reversing the grain of the middle piece won't diminish the tendency for warping, if this is going to occur.

          i was thinking of using 2 pieces of flame maple and a darker wood in the middle, walnut maybe, for contrast. i want a super thin neck profile and as small a piece of walnut as possible, but still need stability with the flamed maple.
