  • R3 nut ?

Hope it's ok to post this..

I need to get a R3 locking nut for a parts guitar I'm putting together. I got a nice warmoth body off e-bay awhile back and it came with a schaller / Rose tremlo. The neck I got off of custom woods, but I need a R3 nut to start getting it together. Any ideas where I might pick one up at?

    Thanks

    Re: R3 nut ?

www.guitarpartsdepot.com has both the shorter licensed versions and the OFR nuts.

      Re: R3 nut ?

I just checked out that site thanks !

Now this might be a stupid question but what is the difference between a top mount and a bottom mount?
All the ones I have seen have the screws coming from the back of the neck (bottom mount?) I haven't got the neck drilled yet btw.

      thanks

No difference in performance, really. OFR nuts can be mounted either way. Rear/bottom mounting (through the neck, etc) weakens the head/neck joint, making it easier to break it off.

So I would be better off getting a top mount then right?
