Recording Acoustic with Pod 2.0?

Has anyone ever done that straight through the jack? no mics.

I'm wondering how it would sound, and if it does some humming or not?

I've recorded my friend playing his acoustic through my POD 2.0 with excellent results. I've also played acoustic live with a POD. Use the tube pre-amp setting and tweak your effects to taste. I really like a thick subtle chorus with this setup.
