Put on tuners, put in bridge bushings, pups (a J90 in the neck, and J90C at the bridge - because I had them handy) toggle and jack (but no pots... yet), cut the nut and strung her up.

Hey, she plays! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] Sounds good, too. And I'm satisfied that she is solid. Well, solid enough to proceed.

I guess that means it is time to start doing the hard stuff. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Our beloved Tom (Crankdaddy) says that I should run a bunch of staples along the seams, then clear over that: the FrankenPaul.

Now to start on the cosmetics: fill the ebony (anybody got a scrap of ebony that I can take some shavings from?), replace two inlays (anbody got some spare MOP I can buy?), repair the binding, pretty up the headstock, and prep for the finish. then finish.

Come on guys, someone back me up on this.

You do a bunch of staples along the cut seams, so it looks like it was stitched together by Dr. Frankenstein. Then you just clear coat over that.

I dunno. I think it would look way cool. Anybody else?
