refinishing my guitar

I have a Washburn WG587V, in metallic grey. It's probably the most boring and ugly finish i've seen. So i'm thinking of refinishing it with colour changing paint (idea from some one from Jemsite). Thing is i will be using aerosol paint, so i know the finish will be different than the high gloss finish of my Jackson RR3.

Am i right in thinking that the finish will feel and look a bit like the Matt Black Gothic Gibsons? or some what a bit glossier?
