• any curly cable solutions?

I took the advice of some JCFers and now I make my own cables from Canare.

I love them except they keept curling up
Any advice on this?

thanks!

Are these the old Radio Shack phone cord lookin things?
I thought the solution to that was to use straight cable

You could also try not turning in circles when you play, or at least turn in the opposite direction more often.

Get those cloth-wrapped cables that slip off each other instead of curling.

Coat your cable in vaseline, that way they don't stick together.

Thanks for the replies guys.

hmm.. it seems I do unconsciously turn clockwise for some reason.

I straightened the cable and hung it so it's straight, for a day, and now it stopped curling up!

Yeah, I tend to spin in one direction too and tangle the cable when I have room to "roam" while playing. I wonder if I'd spin in the opposite direction if I were south of the equator?
