I had been holding out for a Concert PRO 5 for a long time, but another model came up that I felt I couldn't refuse, so I snagged a Charvel CHS4. Yeah, I know, it's a cheap Korean-made bass, but I felt I needed to start somewhere.

Congrats new bass owner! I have one San Dimas bass (J1205) and I have to say that it kicks ass!!! I play normally the guitars but it´s fun to jam with the bass sometimes [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]Comment

No, the wanting a 5-string is just being accustomed to a few bassist's basses that I had played over the years.

what did something like that cost Tekky? I only have one high end bass, but several lower end models. and how would that compare to like a c20 concert bass, or a CMJ5?Comment

I have a C20 Jackson and I paid 200 for each of them
and I have two 5 strings I paid 600 for the red one, but the white one I paid 300 for it from The Bass Place in arizona. It was back stock from Jackson. They may have some more. I dont know, I got it off of ebay from them..
