A quick update to the post from that link: I took the guitar to rehearsal today, and if you think I sounded impressed before, I am now tenfold. I plugged in and cranked the Crate (yes, a Blue Voodoo) and these things sound like God himself had reached down and punched me in the neck!!! Time was, I couldn't say enough about the Duncan Custom, but the Motherbucker is truly a hidden treasure. Do yourself a BIG favor, and try one. I paid $45 for a set (bridge and neck hums) and I can honestly say it was the best $45 I ever spent on guitar related stuff.
      Sleep!!, That's where I'm a viking!!

To my ears.. Mighty Mite pickups are everage sounding. I put them in the same league as Duncan Performers, Ibanez pickups and Jackson pickups. It sounds to me like you have found the winning combination for your ears. Pickups don't have to be expensive to be good. What is more important is choosing the correct pickups for the type of guitar, amp and genre of music you are playing. It sounds like you have the perfect set up.
