  • Truss rod nut size and where to get

I have a pair of Jackson's. A new DK2 and an old Fusion neck. The truss rod nut looks the same on both. Do I need a 1/4" socket?

Where is the best place to get one?

    Thanks,

    Don

On my imports it is a 7mm nut.I had to use a Swivel/ Universal socket and short extension to make the adjustment.

      Thanks for the size.

I want to track down those sockets with a bar welded on (sometimes with a phillips screwdriver tip). Looks like a corn cob pipe.

I recently bought a truss rod tool for my DX10D. I bought it from Music Parts Guru who ordered it from Fender for me. The Fender customer service rep gave me their phone number. It is 847-202-5185.

I assume the Jackson truss rod sizes all pretty much the same, because my JRR-94 Rhoads came with the truss rod tool, and it's the same size as the one I ordered for my Dinky.

I hope you got the rhoads later than the Dinky. Otherwise you should be ashamed...maybe got to much wine and whiskey

Stew Mac sells a truss rod wrench set. Invaluable. I recommend it - I haven't had to go back to my socket set.
