• JE-2000 Active Electronics..

are the JE-2000 electronics 18V tolerant?? i'd like to run two 9V batteries, but i don't want to burn the board doing it.. has anyone converted to 18V??

    thanks..

i just did the 18V conversion, and it seems to give more headroom to the lows.. it does not distort when picking really hard, like with a single 9V..

and there is just enough room for the second battery..

While we're on the subject. The jack socket in my newly acquired Model 3B just disintegrated. The plastic case just fell apart (fortunately while my bass player was borrowing it ). It looks like it needs a stereo jack fitting in there as a replacement, because there's three wires, but can anyone tell me which colour wire goes to which terminal on the socket?

        Cheers - Steve
