EMG single coils labeled IC ??

OK, I see lots of peeps here who know more about EMG's than me. Recently, the SA and S have been discussed. I recently acquired a set of old dingy white EMG's with gold lettering, and the labels on the back are IC. (on all 3)What the hell are these?

Employee initials, I think. Like older Duncan Distortions had an L or J, maybe EMG puts first and last initials?
I've had some that said HH, HE, HC, ABC, CBS, DDT, PMS, [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
Still waiting for one that says JCF, then I'll OWN everyone [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Well, these look like model designation stickers.
white, with black letters...like you would see 81,85,60.
I'll hook up a pic later after work.

The logo/lettering color tells u the model. If it's gold on a humbucker, then it's an 85. If it's gold on a single coil, it's an SA.

silver means 81 or S.

edit: I'm no expert...this is the ID info on their website that I found a while back.

This is a code from which you can determine the year of manufacturing.

A->1
B->2
C->3
D->4
E->5
F->6
G->7
H->8
I->9
J->0 or 10
K->11
L->12

If your sticker is "IC", then the pickup was manufactured in '93

If the sticker has 3 letters, then the third letter stands for the month.

If it has a CBS, DDT or PMS sticker, then the pickup is definitely a fake [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
If it has an ABC sticker, this pickup was build in the future [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
