i don't think so, as i thought that the jakes were a 24.75 scale.

the screw pattern was a comfort kinda thing, and you'd definitely need a short scale body to go with it.

Basically, what kind of body do I need to get to make the project work? sorry, this is my first "from the ground up " guitar project.

your going to need a body that is made for a 24.75 inch neck otherwise the guitar won't intonate right.

when getting a body from warmoth, make sure they set the bridge to be @ 24.75 inches.

Just to add to Mike's commments, make sure that the bridge location AND neck pocket are right.

I dunno, if I wanted to build a parts guitar, I'd want to make it as easy as possible and get very readily-available/compatible necks/bodies. For example, I KNOW that Warmoth uses Fender neck pocket specifications, so if I had a Fender body that I wanted to build a mutt out of, I could slap on a Fender or Warmoth neck with no problems. If I were building a mutt out of Jackson parts, I could probably use a DK2 neck on a DXMG body, for example, since I know the 24-fret long-scale Jackson parts go together.

That being said, I have no idea what the specs should be for a body with a neck pocket that would accept a Jake neck other than a Jake body itself.

not 100% sure that warmoth will do that, though. i believe that all of their stuff is 25.5", but they have 24.75" conversions. give them a call and see if they can do a true 24.75 body for you. if they will, then bid on the neck. if not, why not just get a neck and body from warmoth?

Yup, Warmoth does Gibson-scale necks and bodies, but not very commonly on their Showcase (aka "Bargain Bin") page. Around the time that I was thinking of building a bolt-on Warmoth Les Paul, I was wanting a 24.75" scale Gibson-style Warmoth neck with a Warmoth Les Paul body made for the short scale. More common were the Fender-scale LP necks/bodies, which I didn't want.
