  • String keeps sliding off the saddle

I have a TOM bridge and the low E string keeps sliding off the saddle. I'm thinking it might be because I'm using .52 gauge E string and the notch on the saddle is too small. Also the bridge is slightly angled to supposedly make its intonation better (ESP came up with it...go figure)

    Anyway..any ideas?

if you feel comfortable with a file you can widen it a bit, or have a tech do it. YOu can also try lowering the stop bar a little bit to put a little more downward pressure on the saddle-it might be just enough to keep it in place.

I guess I should try the file, I can't do anything with the stop bar since its a string thru.

i know you can use the actual string to widen plastic nut slots by running a piece of it through there a few times, but I'm not sure how well that would work on a steel saddle.
