  • Can This Be Saved?

    Guys,

I have an Employee Project strat with a crack on the front.
    Can this be saved/repaired?
Or should I just toss the body and put the neck on something else?
    Here are the pics...

I saw some pictures of a repair like this on a Strat, only I believe the crack was much deeper. What they did was put a screw in the crack to open it up, fill it with some glue, take the screw out, and clamp the thing shut for a while. It was more solid than when new. Granted this was a true Strat and had a pickguard to cover the crack (I believe it was a sunburst finish). But if you're going to refinish, there's no reason why you couldn't do the repair and never know.

          Thanks for input, guys.

Sully... Yes. I am definately going to repaint it.
          It was blue originally.
The previous owner worked in an auto paint shop and
refinned it with this custom metallic mustard yellow.
Too bad. It probably looked good blue.
