• What value pots are stock on a Model 4?

What are the values of the volume and tone pots in a 1986 Model 4? My brother has one and the volume pot is bad. Thanks!

The volume pot should be a 50K if it still has the midboost. I believe the tone pot is a standard 500K.

50k or 500k? The guitar still has the midboost.

The volume pot is attached to the board for the midboost, as well as the midboost pot, which are both 50K. The tone pot is seperate, and isa a standard 500K. Replacing the volume pot is a task due to this. You will probably have to order the part, and then if the lugs on the pot don't line up with your board, you may have to solder jumper wires to them.

Actually all the model 4's 5's and 6's had a 250k tone pot in them. At least all the one's I've had but there's always those rare cases that left the factory with "other" parts we have all read about. I believe the Jackson electronics manual has it listed as a 250k also.
