• Floyd Springs Vibrate

My Floyd Springs sometimes like to hum along, especially on a B note at the 9th fret. Very annoying, especially when amplified.

How do I address this properly?

Put some foam behind the springs, or maybe pipe cleaners inside of the springs.
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

I slip a thin piece of foam between the springs and the body. Deadens them bad boys right ut.

I've found that not all springs do this. The springs on my Schaller-equipped NASL do it, but not my JT590'd or Floyded guitars.

I keep meaning to swap the springs around, but never do
