• I'm an Idiot: Reverse Headstock Question...

Arrggg!! I HATE reverse headstocks!
Which way do I wrap the strings on the tuners?

By looking through the gallery, I'm not the only one who doesn't know, either.

The opposite way to a regular headstock. Clockwise.

Chuck, I'm not going to charge you a licensing fee for using my tag line - this time. Next time it costs you big dollars.

when in doubt, envision how you would do it on a les paul.

Not all... My acoustic is a strat-head.

I was trying to think of 6-in-line acoustic heads and then you showed the picture of that Fender and now I remember the Stratacoustic and Telacoustic.

Ewww!!!

But besides my Fender Montara, there's also the Kramer Ferrington, the Charvette 500 and I believe the Fender Condor. (not sure about the Fender, but I do know they made a different strat-head model)

A bit late, but an easy way to remember it: the strings NEVER go between the tuner POST and the tuner KEY - they always go closest to the center of the head.

Exactly - always wind away from the key and you should be safe, though I have no idea how those LSR things work, so...

Straight through the hole, then wind like a regular tuner.
