• Starting my project soon

Hey guy,
I'm just about to start overhauling my RR copy and was wondering if you guys had any tips for me. Other then hire a tech
Here's a pic of it now...

..and here's what I'm doing:
-Recessed OFR and locking nut
-Neck and headstock "binding" like Number of the Beast did.
-Possible pinstripe/bevel job on the body like so..

That's what the finished product should be by the way

Oh yeah, if anyone has a EMG-AB or Jackson JE-1000 preamp they'd like to get rid of cheap or in a trade, I'd like one to install in this project also

Yup. Do you have any information about these things? I've been looking all over the net for some for the past year or so and haven't turned up much. All I know is it's a close copy of a neck thru RR.

No, I don't have any info. It just looked familiar is all. I have seen a couple of them before. I imagine as long as the neck is straight, you can throw in a decent pickup, and make it sound good. Is it solid wood?

Re: Starting my project soon

The neck's straight. When I got it, the electronics were in really bad shape, the neck pickup wasn't even hooked up. So I just ripped everything out and installed the EMGs. I don't even know what the stock ones sounded like
I belive it's plywood but I can't be sure, everything's painted up and it's a neck through so I can't pull the neck off to check the pocket.

Easy enough, scrape off some paint in the control cavity.

Yep, it's plywood. I took off the tremolo cover in the back, forgot whoever had it before routed some wood out for this weird ass tremolo it has now.

That trem looks like a Kahler Fulcrum.
