• Duncan Distortion in a semi-hollow body?

Do you think this would be a bad combo? I absolutely love the Distortion, it's my favorite pickup (as if you couln't tell). It's much more versatile than a lot of people think. But I'm wondering how it might behave in my Korina Artist. I was thinking about a Custom Custom/APH-1 set, but after throwing a pair of Distortions in my Diablo, I'm rethinking it.

In other words, has anyone tried a Distortion in a semi hollow body?

DiMarzio mentions on their website how hot pickups shouldn't be used with anything less than a solidbody guitar. They claim warm pickups like that may be uncontrollable in those situations. I don't know first-hand though. Maybe you'd love it, who knows?

I had a JB in a 335 at one point. Output is pretty much the same. If you're playing very loud and distorted, it will feedback readily. You'll just need to balance it out by backing off the overdrive / volume to compensate. Even a low output humbucker can feedback in a hollowbody if you working with an agressive setup.
