  • Position of single coil pick-us?

Why the strats with single coil pickups, has the bridge pickup with its top(at 6th string) tilt towards the midle pickup (in an angle), instead of being parallel like the midle and neck pickups?

To keep the A and E strings warmer sounding.

Well, the closer you get to the bridge, the sound gets brighter and bitey-er.

Soo. . . they wanted the high strings to have a nice bite, and the low strings to remain warm.
