I don't know if this will help you or not, but a bunch of us are jumping in to order a bunch of APCs courtesy of Joel. Here's the link:

I really want to try one of these out, The Persuader Lead, I just need to find someone to trade me for my DImebucker lol.

Just sell the Dimebucker and buy an APC. The cost of brand-new APCs (good luck finding them used ) cost about the same price as a new Dimebucker anyways.

i'd go double persuader lead, unless you want a more of a PAF type sound up in the neck, and then i'd go for the PL in the bridge with the felony x in the neck.

new thread for the APC pup order in the the general j/c talk area.

Dreamland does the Persuader have a good kick?
I like a tone that has good low end thump but is not overly bassy?
what i seek is a pup that has low end punch( picture takin a shot from mike tyson) and a good treble region without being harsh?
mids enough to just keep the tone from being thin?
And HARMONICS are a MUST!

Probably just go with the APC Persuader Lead in the bridge then. The Persuader Lead Custom is the same thing except with more bass.

the persuader lead will do exactly what you want it to as you described. you can customized the subtlies of it's sound by adjusting the PU hight to the strings. you want more low end punch. adjust the hight of the low side as close to the strings without touching. these pups are designed to be able to get right up on the strings without causing magnetic interference or string pull. i think you'll find the PL the perfect pup for you.
