stripping a jackson neck with?

YES i used the search....didnt help.
does anyone know what type of strippers can be used that will remove the paint & PRIMER but not harm the binding. Ive used a chemical stripper on a similar guitar, but it only took off the clear & color coats & left behind the primer. Im going to be stripping the finish from the neck & headstock of a 85 soloist.
