• Pickup for Custom Shop Charvel

I will be ordering a Custom Shop Charvel in the near future what would be a good pickup choice to compliment it's mahogany body/maple neck?

My favourite is the Seymour Duncan Distortion (TB6 or SH6), but it depends on what kind of sound you want to achieve.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Except for, the Distortion is the best metal riffing pickup ever.

It depends. What kind of tone are you looking for? i.e., Melodic metal? Intense but clarity? "Balls to the wall" distortion?

Generally, though, I'm with Sully. Duncan Custom. Can't say about a '78, as I haven't had the pleasure of trying one yet. I'd also add the Dimarzio Super3, though.

                  P.S.- Happy B-day, Matt!
