  • Grooves on nut/burrs on saddles?

Hey folks I have a couple quick questions regarding the OFR on my 01 sl2h I bought new at the end of 2001.

    1. There are string grooves that appear to be worn in on the base of the nut under the retaining blocks. Is this normal? Is this from use or perhaps put there in production.

    2. I had to deburr the saddles a little all ready after only 2 years or so of use. Is this normal?

the guitar is only getting about 10 hours of use a week.I do like to bend strings however and am a moderate user of the trem. There are GHS .09's on the guitar.
