Is it possible to get a custom made Explorer like the old Gibson shape in the Jackson Custom shop? I own an 84 Gibson Explorer w/ kahler, but it only has 22 frets, a set neck, and nothing really flashy about it. I wanted to get a Custom made USA Jackson Explorer (not kelly style or old jackson EXP shape, GIBSON shape) w/ 24 frets, kahler, neck thru, EMG pickups. Is this possible? Please let me know, because if so, I'm takin' out some money!

****! No hockey style headstock!!! WHY NOT!? That's what makes the Explorer sooo unique! Well, as much as I love the Jackson headstock, I'll pass because it does not look good on Explorers. If no hockey stick, then can I draw up the dimensions of a custom shaped headstock?

Why don't you just have GMW guitars build you one? They will build it to any spec. you want.

I second that sweet Jackson headstock on an Explorer:

"Got a crazy feeling I don't understand,
Gotta get away from here.
Feelin' like I shoulda kept my feet on the ground
Waitin' for the sun to appear..."

The trans black one made for Marty is way cooler than that one IMO-

I disagree - maybe it's just the pic, but that thing of Marty's looks kind of washed out. Joe's is just the epitomy of cool - trans red, gold hardware, bound body. Only thing I would want different on Joe's is a non-reverse headstock.

Thanks, Gary! Anyone can see it in all its glorious details with more images and a fine narrative here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...item=900193189
