  • Tuning peg swap

I searched for this but never found the answer. Can I put Sperzel (sp?) locking tuners on my RR5 w/o having to redrill the holes?? I prefer locking tuners if I don't have a floyd type bridge and locking nut.
Thanks in advance for your help...

Sperzels use a pin to align the tuner and there is no screw boss. You'll still have an empty screw hole showing. The only locking tuners I know of that have the same (or close) mounting screw location are the grovers.

Sperzels also require a larger hole, so yes, you'll have to drill the holes out.

The grovers are a great locking tuner. Especially for the money. There is no manual lock. you just start turning and the automatically lock.

          Good luck.
