  • Charvelizing a Fender...

If I were to mod a Fender neck(big headstock, 21 frets) to feel and play like a Charvel San Dimas neck, what would I have to do to it?

    Thanx a million

    - reshape the back of the neck.
    - reshape the headstock
    - pull the frets
    - put a 10-16 compound radius into the fretboard
    - refret it with jumbo frets

lol... in other words, nothing that's actually worth doing to it. get a warmoth neck.

      you mean a 70's neck?

Is it a real 70's neck? Those are worth $300+

Take 6 hits of good liquid acid and use your mind power to transform the guitar into whatever you want. This only works for about 12 hours, and most likely you'll play guitar for about 7 seconds, then chase a mouse that isn't real into the kitchen. Then next thing you know it will be 6 hours later and you'll end up having walked 9 miles from your home and swear that you fought to the death with Mr. Peanut.

To make a Fender into a Charvel is
            as
to sleep with a fat girl and dream of Gwenyth Paltrow.

The quick and dirty method would be to have the neck refretted with jumbo wire and have the fredboard reradiused to 16. Charvel-mod, Stevie Ray-mod - whatever - end result is a faster playing guitar.
