• Need your advice, please.

The reason that I'm looking for 2Loud2Old is this: I bought his Model 6 abortion a while back, and I never received a lot of hardware. He hasn't posted here since mid-June, and he doesn't respond to my emails anymore (since late June).

Here is what seems to be absent:

Missing Model 6 Parts:

Two pots and two knobs,
One single coil pup,
Trem posts and inserts,
Strap buttons,
Hum ring,
One nut clamp (!) and screw,
Trem cover,
Lots and lots and lots of screws.

All that I thought it was missing, from the ad, was the active circuit and Humbucker. Maybe the hum ring, too, since it would make sense that no hum, no hum ring.

Does anybody have any suggestions on what I should do next?

Did you use [email protected] ?

Have you tried PM?

Don't you have his house address from the package?

If you look at his posting history there's some pretty large gaps of inactivity. Maybe he is just absent, vacation or whatever.

Yes, I've been emailing that email address: it is the only one that I have. And I've pm'ed. In the paypal history (that is how I paid) they don't / won't provide an address or phone number, and I'd tried to find contact info that way.

BUT I totally forgot that I still have the box in the garage. I'll go check it for a return addy. (Slaps self in forehead.)

Heh, he tried to sell me that thing too. Glad I didn't go for it. Try mailing him a postcard...he is in the Toronto area IIRC.

I was able to find the box, and it DOES have an address for him, so I'll write. He's a good guy, I don't think anything shady is going on, I just hope he's ok and (duh) I want my parts!

If you can't find him send me PM. I have a lot of that stuff kickin around that you can have (Two pots and two knob, Strap buttons, Hum ring, and I have a **** load of screws) if you pay the shipping (shouldn't be more than a few bucks). Just let me know.

Man, thank you Jim, that is incredibly generous and gracious – thank you!

I'm not even going to need all the stuff that is missing (for example, with no active circuit, that is one less knob and pot that I need), I just felt like listing it all in one place. Other stuff, like the strap buttons, are easy enough to come by, but dang it I LIKE the big ass Model ones.

Until I hear from Mike I'll just work on my two other p.o.s. projects, to improve my refin skills for the one that matters most to me - this six. If I end up ready to do it, and still no parts, I'll make a list of the must-haves, and see what you've got that you can part with. Be MORE than happy to pay the shipping, boxing... hell, I'll pay for the parts, its just that some of this stuff is harder to find...

Did I say thank you?

Not a problem. You'd be doing me a favor. I just cleaned my shop and have tons of misc stuff like that kickin around. Just let me know.

It's funny, whenever I get a project close to being finished, it's always something like strap buttons that you need!

Maybe it is just the e-mail address is not working or is out of service.
Or maybe accidentaly blocked your e-mail address.
I would recommend you to check the e-mails you got from him and see if there is his phone # or something.
Good luck!
